Darko Gedelovski

The main instructor in Shinkenkan Dojo, Darko Gedelovski, was practicing Nakamura Ryu Battodo since 2003. under Dejan Damnjanovic sensei (5. DAN Nakamura Ryu Battodo) in his dojo in Belgrade, Serbia. Also, he was attending seminars held by Yoshitaka Nomura sensei (8. DAN Kyoshi) in Belgrade, in 2006, 2008 and 2011. While attending The 21st International Batto-Do Federation Zenkoku Taikai / 24th Toyama Ryu Nakamura Ryu Battodo Taikai in 2018, he received 5th DAN.

Darko Gedelovski attended annual Nakamura Ryu Battodo Tai Kai in Tsurumi, Yokohama in 2006, 2008, 2015 and 2018 when he got the honour to practice under guidance of teachers from International Battodo Federation and Kakuseikai Dojo.

His previous martial arts experience includes Kendo, Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido (Hokiyama Ha and Yamauchi Ha) and Aikido. He moved from Belgrade, Serbia to Vancouver in 2011. and opened Shinkenkan Dojo in September 2012. After moving to Campbell River, he started practicing Nakamura Ryu Battodo in Campbell River Wado Karate Club dojo, in January 2023.
